CONSTRUCTION CODE


AN ORDINANCE TO DESIGNATE AN ENFORCING AGENCY TO DISCHARGE THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE VILLAGE UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF THE STATE CONSTRUCTION ORDER ACT.


THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD ORDAINS:

Section 1. ADOPTION OF STATE CONSTRUCTION CODE

The Village of Deerfield adopts the provisions of the State Construction Code, being Act 230 of the Public Acts of 1978, and hereby assumes responsibility for the administration and enforcement of the Code throughout its corporate limits.

Section 2. DESIGNATION OF ENFORCING AGENCY

Pursuant to the provisions of the State Construction Code, the Village of Deerfield designates the Village Council or its authorized representative or agent as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibilities of the Village under the Code.

Section 3. REPEALER

All ordinances inconsistent with the provisions of this Ordinance are repealed.

Section 4. EFFECTIVE DATE

This Ordinance shall be effective 20 days after its passage.
