Village of Deerfield Ordinance 18 - COMPENSATION OF OFFICIALS

THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD ORDAINS:

Section 1. COMPENSATION

Pursuant to Section 21 of the Act 3 of the Public Acts of 1895 (MCL §64.21) the following salaries shall be paid to the officers and trustees of the Village:

a. The Village President shall receive $6,000.00 per year paid semi-annually to take effect January 1, 2002.
b. Each Village Trustee shall receive $100.00 per month paid semi-annually to take effect January 1, 2002.
c. The Village Clerk shall receive $15,364.62 per year paid monthly to take effect January 1, 2002. Further, the Clerk shall receive a four percent (4%) annual increase in salary effective on January 1st of each year hereafter.
d. The Village Treasurer shall received $2,458.33 per year paid monthly to take effect January 1, 2002. Further, the Treasurer shall receive a four percent (4%) annual increase in salary effective on January 1st of each year hereafter.

Section 2. PUBLICATION OF ORDINANCE

The Village Clerk shall publish this Ordinance in the manner prescribed by law.

Section 3. EFFECTIVE DATE

This Ordinance shall become effective 30 days after its adoption.
