DOMESTIC ANIMALS
AN ORDINANCE REGULATING DOMESTIC ANIMALS AND FOWL.
THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD ORDAINS:
Section 1. DOMESTIC ANIMALS AND FOWL
No person shall keep or house any animals or domestic fowl within the Village of Deerfield except dogs, cats, canaries or animals commonly classified as pets which are customarily kept or housed inside dwellings as household pets, and except horses kept or housed at a lawfully established stable.
Section 2. PENALTIES
Every person convicted of a violation of any provision of this Ordinance shall be punished by a fine of not more than $100.00 and costs of prosecution or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each act of violation and every day upon which any such violation shall occur shall constitute a separate offense. The penalties provided for by this Ordinance shall apply to any amendment thereto whether or not such penalties are reenacted in the amendatory Ordinance.
