Village of Deerfield Ordinance 3 - SEWER USE AND RATES

THE VILLAGE OF DEERFIELD HEREBY ORDAINS:

Section 1.

The Village of Deerfield Sewer Use and Rate Ordinance, being Ordinance 3 of the Ordinances of Village of Deerfield is amended as follows.

Section 2. Section 15 of the Sewer Use and Rate Ordinance is amended as follows:

Section 15. CONNECTION STANDARDS

a. Drainage from sump pumps, downspouts, footer tile weep tile, shall not discharge directly into any sanitary sewer.

b. All new connections to the sanitary sewer lines must be at least three feet (3') above grade of any basement floor and a check valve must be installed outside of the exterior wall where the sanitary sewer line enters any structure.

c. On all existing buildings having sewer connections, check valves must be installed outside of the exterior wall where the sanitary sewer line(s) enter the building prior to the issuance of any building permit for work being performed on any existing basement.

Section 3. All other sections of the Sewer Use and Rate Ordinance not amended by this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. Section 4. This amendment to the Water Rate and Use Ordinance shall become effective immediately upon its adoption.: YEAS: 5
